I'm staying in a hotel for 4 months due to a fire in my apt. How much/often do I tip housekeeping and valet?

Each time you use the valet you need to tip them regardless if you are staying there overnight or for 4 months. Tip $2.00. Where are you staying that you can't park your own car, most if not ALL hotels offer self parking. If you are staying there for 4 months, Id just get housekeeping once a week and tip them once then, like $6 - 10. Just call housekeeping and make the arrangements. I doubt that you will get a room that dirty in a weeks time. If you are a slob, the morning before the housekeeper comes in, just strip the bed and put all the dirty linens in a pile for her and move your belongings out of the way so it is easier for her to clean. You can use a bath towel more then once. If you need more towels ask for some when you see an attendant in the hall. If you are going to stick with the every 3 days, Id tip like $3 or 4. You should tip housekeeping each time, as you might have a different person come from week to week.
