How to delete saved games for call of duty 4 Nintendo DS?

Does a Nintendo DS system hold game memory or is the memory stored on the individual game cartridges?

    The memory is held on the cartridges. The Ds isn't capable of hold memory without a memory card.

well the memory is stored on the game cartridges my ds got broken this one time so i got a new one and all the memory was still there so i figured that the memory is stored on the game cards

It is stored in the game, on a flash drive. So therefore you'll have to delete the save files on the game. On Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, for example, you have to press certain buttons to get the screen that says "Delete Saved Files" or something like that.
