Oh no....I didn't know until I read your question. I remember her from "All In the Family." She was awesome and unique as Edith, and I can't imagine a different actress performing that part.

I remember her mainly from All In the Family. Archie reminded me of a roommate's fiance. I also saw Ms. Stapleton in Damn Yankees--Love that movie! I understand she was an outstanding singer. Well she had to be in order to know all the wrong things to do when she sang with Archie "Those Were The Days."
