Conspiracy theorists believe they can prove the Moon landings were fake.?

Yet experts from NASA, and others who worked on the Moon landings, claim they can answer all the hoax accusations. Who should I believe. This is bugging me so much that I havnt slept ...show more

Answer:
Conspiracy theorists are idiots. A very useful principle in all of this is that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Project Apollo, and all that went with it, is extensively documented and produced large numbers of artifacts, including rocks that could not possibly have originated on Earth. It was independently observed by everybody from the Soviet Union to ham radio operators. Against this the conspiracy nuts have very little, really. If they are going to make such claims, they must have awfully good evidence, and they don't. I see no reason to debunk their claims. The onus of proof is on *them*, not me. Why are you even listening to these idiots? I find their ideas deeply offensive, and a gross insult to the people who worked very hard to make it happen.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it if I were you....we're all still waiting for the "proof" that can back up anything they say. The fact is...the conspiracy theorists have exactly 0% proof of anything fake about the moon landings.....all they can do is float an endless supply of hot air from a never emptying balloon.

Hey, don't let them bug you...you can go to the Smithsonian Museum of Science in Washington DC and reach out and touch the very space ship that those guys traveled in. Ask any of the hoax proponents if they have any hard evidence to match that. They don't, and they will never achieve anything that even comes close to the achievements of those proud astronauts. Heh - Heh...those guys are all just jealous, so they play games with your mind to pass the time.

First, you need to understand enough about the science of it to follow the arguments being presented, so concentrate on the things you already understand. Once you can see how lame some of the "Moon hoax" arguments are, you can reasonably assume that the arguments you don't understand are at least suspect. Also consider some of the evidence that the pictures really were taken in a low-gravity, vacuum environment. For example, in videos where the astronauts or moon buggy are kicking up dust, it doesn't form billowing clouds like it would on Earth, it falls right back to the ground. Another thing to think about is how they could pull off such fakery, and why would they bother to do it six times. Surely the Russians would have caught on and exposed it if it were fake. Phil Plait's Bad Astronomy site is one of several that do a good job of debunking the hoax nonsense.

http://www.redzero.demon.co.uk/moonhoax/ Go to that site...it's pretty cool and good at debunking the conspiracy folks. There is a psychology behind this behavior: For every large scale event people will have a way of assuming that there was an equally massive cause to the effect. Great examples of this are the 9/11 conspirators thinking that such a huge event has to have an equally huge cause and the U.S. Gov't is the only organization capable of causing it. This mentality is repeated throughout time and history (JFK, OK city bombing, Mars photos, French Revolution has tons of them). ~Cam

Just ask the theorists to prove what they say.

Go get some sleep... one can make an airtight conspiracy theory about anything. its called loopholes. its all about what you want to believe, what has more evidence and what makes more sense

Saw a reallly cool conspiracy show on Bravo(Sky TV UK), they proved that evry single piece of evidence that the landings were fake had a re-creatable positive on earth. Unforunately, this then proves that it was entirely possible to fake the whole thing in a film studio. Comical. You only have to wait two more years anyway, the Japanese are sending an unmanned probe to orbit and map the entire moons surface in detail. If they can't see a lander module on the moon, someone has been telling porkies.
