How many stars in the sky?

Does anybody know how many stars there on the sky ?

  • I know there are alot. But Im wondering if there is any scientific study about it ? if so, how many stars they claim there are...

    actually all the stars that the naked human eye can see are in the milkyway galaxy.(all the stars in the milky way as sand grains would fit in a thimble) and if you took a boxcar train and filled it to the top with sand and had the train go so fast that 24 box cars filled with sand traveled by in one second it would take three years for all the grians of sand to equal all of the stars in the universe although through supernovas new baby stars are born all the time so no one really knows exactly

Malizengin81 - the universe in infinite, therefore, we cannot know how many stars there are. Furthermore, we know there are stars, because we see their light, and at the speed light travels, we probably will never be reached by the majority of them. So, on a beautiful starry night, simply enjoy what is available to you, and then, make a 'wish upon a star'. Stay well!

we cant count them cause some of them might now exsists any more the light is traveling still after the sun collases when our sun blows we would still have light for another 8 minutes
