Why is education important?

omg. that's about the easiest essay prompt i've ever seen. come on now. without it, we would be things that walked around and just grunted at each other because we couldn't talk, write, or communicate. just think simple stuff...basic stuff you take for granted: electronics, houses that don't collapse from the wind, plastic. i mean seriously

Education isn't important. Many people attend education and get nothing from it. BUT Knowledge is important. Knowledge is power. There are many ways to get knowledge. Schools often lose sight of the fact that what they should be doing is transferring knowledge, but all they really do is babysit. All people with power have control by their in-depth knowledge about a topic that is based on their power, even supermodels have knowledge of what it takes to be a supermodel, a pretty face is not enough.

The reason mankind has language has nothing to do with education. Education is the process of receiving systematic instruction. I wouldn't say plastic was a product of education considering that it was a fluke. I think you need to think of education on a more narrow and personal level. I also would advise you to not use a better paying job as a reason education is important... teachers tend to care about their profession; saying you are only there to make money is sort of insulting.
