What to do to get more organized?

What should I do if i really wanna get ORGANIZED?

  • I wanna get organized for the next school year but i dunno how!

  • Answer:

I was once like u trying to get help for keeping organized. If u want to get organized by alot of binders and folders. When u get a binder put at least 3-6 folders in don't get the big binders get ones that are 1-2 inches. Also get stickers to label everything make some list to keep ur self on track and make a schedule of like i need these book for this time so i will keep them here and it should keep u steady. Throw things out immediately so u don't over pack with garbage. Also get an agenda to keep track of ur goals and any extra things needed like any homework assignments or work in general. Make sure to keep track of all papers so maybe you should also get dividers for projects or any type of seperaters because they can be very very usefull at times. Make sure that u also get things that are color coted so maybe you should get a green binder and green folders its easier than having different colors of sorts floating around. Get extra shelves and things to keep ur books up right and maybe if u r like me u will get organized easily so that things wont rip, brake or even wear out. that's the way i kept organized and all my stuff is still in good shape and now i can use it for next year. Good Luck!!

write a list every day of what you need to do and tick it off each time you complete something

Buy an agenda and use it to keep track of tasks and long term goals. It is important that you write them down, since it makes it more official. Plus, accomplishing tasks and crossing them out from your to-do list really gives you a sense of fulfillment. Hope this helped!

get an organized b pack, with pencil holders, then make sure your b pack has at lease two or three pockets, to carry extra stuff. like...pencils, paper, note cards, erasers, ECT. the get folders, to hold your work and/or homework. and make sure you have extra #2 pencils, then get a big enough binder for your grade level, and make sure you have enough pockets in your binder too. and take extra paper. good luck!

Hi! I know what you mean. It's great to start out a new year with a fresh start. I have a great 2-hour process to help students organize their rooms and lives. First, take 15 minutes to take out a pen and paper and write out your goals. Do you want to get your homework done faster, so you can spend more time doing the things you like to do? Do you want not to forget things in the morning? Or not to rush around in the morning looking for things before you have to go? Do you want better grades? Brainstorm, and use these goals as motivation to get and stay organized. Next, take 45 minutes to look around and see what's standing in the way of your goals. How did things work this past year? Could you find what you needed when you needed it? Put the old school papers you won't need for a while in a box and put them in your closet, under your bed, or in another storage space in the house. Look at your clothes and shoes and donate anything that doesn't fit you anymore. See if there are any CDs, DVDs, or games you can give away or sell. Now that you're pared down, take 15 minutes to make sure everything in your room has a place. When you come home, where does your bookbag go? Where do shoes go? Where does dirty laundry go? Where do clean clothes go? Where do half-dirty clothes go? (You know we all have them!) Where do you get ready (brush, gel, jewelry, etc.)? Where do you study? Does everything have a place? Next, take 15 minutes to write down a list of things you plan to do to get organized and achieve your goals. Examples are: put clean clothes away the same day I get them, put dirty clothes in hamper instead of on floor, straighten up desk every night, write things in my schedule, do homework before watching TV, etc. If you can assign time periods for some things, do it. For example, clean my room -- 1 hour every Saturday morning, 10 am to 11 am. Then, if you need to: go shopping! Get folders, 1/2-inch binders, or pocket notebooks, one for each class. Have a calendar with big enough spaces to write your events, and a place to put homework assigments. Remember your goals, and commit to keeping the system going. It'll be worth it when you start to get the things you want, just from 10-15 minutes/day of maintenance.

Well, what's your specific problem? Are you in high school? I'll just give the main technique that I use... At the beginning of the semester, I lay out the syllabus for each class. Then I open Excel (just because it's easiest to do on the computer) and use a daily calendar template. From there, I enter in the information from each syllabus... information like the reading schedule, when projects are due, how much they are worth, test dates, deadlines for dropping classes, etc. Input ALL of that information for each class on one calendar so that everything is easily accessible. You can use whatever format you like - either a big hanging calendar, a daily agenda book, on a computer, whatever. You can also highlight important things like due dates and tests or color-code it however you like. That has really worked for me. It's much easier to decide how to allot your time to projects when you know at the beginning of the year what the workload will be like.

You need: -pocket folders for all classes core and related -binder/trapper -mechnical pencil + led and pencil pouch -colored pens (not red becuase most teachers use that color to grade and not black becuase markings will be hard to find) -lose leaf paper -note book -and dividers Label your folders by class and period. Also have a "homwork" "to do" and "return" folders to keep all assignments orginzied. folders should be orginized by period (1st block goes first, etc.) I use colors to remember which is which class Math/algebra is red science is green social studies is yellow english is blue and related arts are orange and purple Put some lose leaf paper in the front behind your assignment book and put the pencil pouch on top of all. Keep everything in pockets and don't throw stuff in there. The dividers could be used for on going assignments and etc. ***I perfer binders

You need to have several folders with pockets, one for every subject you are studying. Put together two binders, one for all of the classes you have before lunch and one for all the afternoon classes. At lunch go to your locker and switch over your books and binders. Each binder should have the pocket folders and a stack of looseleaf paper behind each one. On the left side of each folder keep all the assignments that are not handed in and on the right of each folder keep hand-outs or completed work. Don't write notes on the first two pages behind each folder, keep that for a list of your homework assignments and the dates they are due. Take notes on the rest of the pages. After each marking period remove all the old assignments, handouts and notes and put in new looseleaf paper. Hope this helps.
