Why are people on here so mean? It's not like you're asking people to write it for you!!! Anyway, write about an important or memorable event in your life (remembering how you learned to ride a bike and who taught you, a game you played in that went well, your first day of middle school, your first kiss and what led up to it, etc.) Good luck!

Narrative writing tells a story. In essays the narrative writing could also be considered reflection or an exploration of the author's values told as a story. The author may remember his or her past, or a memorable person or event from that past, or even observe the present. When you're writing a narrative essay, loosen up. After all, you're basically just telling a story to someone, something you probably do every day in casual conversation. Use first person and talk it through first. You might even want to either tape record your story as if you were telling it to someone for the first time or actually tell it to a friend. Once you get the basic story down, then you can begin turning it into an essay. If you feel that you lack life experience, then you may choose to write about someone else or write about an observation you've made about a recent event. You could write about your children, your parents, or your favorite sport or hobby. The important aspect to remember is that you should have a story. In a successful narrative essay, the author usually makes a point. Features 1. The story should have an introduction that clearly indicates what kind of narrative essay it is (an event or recurring activity, a personal experience, or an observation), and it should have a conclusion that makes a point. 2. The essay should include anecdotes. The author should describe the person, the scene, or the event in some detail. It's okay to include dialogue as long as you know how to punctuate it correctly and as long as you avoid using too much. 3. The occasion or person described must be suggestive in that your description and thoughts lead the reader to reflect on the human experience. For instance, I read an excellent student essay that told the story of a young woman forced to shoot several wolves that were attacking her cattle. She told her story and included the inner struggle she faced as she made the choice of saving the cattle or saving the wolves. She shot the wolves, but learned that whatever her choice had been, she would not have been comfortable with it. One of life's lessons is that sometimes there is no right choice, and that was the point of the essay. 4. The point of view in narrative essays is usually first person. The use of "I" invites your readers into an intimate discussion. 5. The writing in your essay should be lively and show some style. Try to describe ideas and events in new and different ways. Avoid using clichés. Again, get the basic story down, get it organized, and in your final editing process, work on word choice. Go to this website for ideas and adapt it with your own words. Do not copy it just like that. Your teacher will know it is not your work: http://www.rscc.cc.tn.us/owl&writingcenter/OWL/Types.html

Tell the story of how you are fulfilling the obligation of every generation to be better than their parents. . . better educated . . .better health (diet/exercise/recreational drugs/etc.) . . .better tolerance (racism, sexism, ethnicity, etc.) . . .better citizenship awareness (voting/participating in the political process, volunteering, political office, military service, PTA involvement, etc) . . . better family (divorce, domestic violence, alcoholism, teen pregnancy, homelessness, lack of health insurance, etc.). Show how your grandparents bettered themselves in a few of these areas, then how your parent's generation bettered themselves from there, and then show how your goals will continue to better your family.

a narrative essay is something that explains an event that occured in your life...talk about a day that you remember very clearly..maybe it was the best day of your life or maybe it was your worst...maybe you can write about your first day in middle school or your first basketball game...maybe you can write about your 10th birthday (turning the big one-O)....or maybe your experience with your best friend or teacher...what else..you could write about first impressions and how there was someone who you had an impression about but when you got to know them, you realized they was a lot more to them than you thought...(in that case, you may want to give a time where your impression was good on sum1 but the person turnd out to be bad and a time when your impression was bad on sum1 but it turned out that the person was very good.) also, you can write about the firdt time you forgot your homework, or the time you couldnt think of what to write about for your essay (like today haha)...thats all i can think of write now and im sure ive given you a variety of thoughts... k? hope i helped! -me =] p.s. maybe sumthing about the time when you thought dif. than your parents, or the time you and your sister/brother got into a fight and werent talking to eachother, or maybe the time you made a mess at home and you got grounded...anything that reflects back on personal experience is perfect for a narrative essay because your narrating it and your supposed to talk about something you have experience 100 percent...so good luck and i hope you get a perfect A plus on your paper when its handed back to ya!

atc as if you are somewhere if you won t be and make up things u observe say for example you went to the laundrymat and talk about the things you see getting very descriptive such as a woman with her hair still in curlers and no make up on looking as if she had a rough night at the bar (mention the smell of alchol as you passed by her like the smell of cheap booze surrounded her like in the cartoons you know how pepe le pew has a scent and you can see the colors of the smell) and as she threw the clothes into the dryer how you seen her soiled up garments as if she has not been cleaning her clothes for a very long time....description is good as long as u can get the reader to see exactly what you are seeing

Pick something that you really like to do or a place you really like to go. Get a clear picture of it in your head and start writing. Include the small details like sounds, smells, tastes, details on how things look. Basically, paint a picture using words. These can be fun to write once you pick your topic.
