Whats a good persuasive speech topic, that will make my speech 8 mintues?

Resolved: People are short-cutting their education by asking questions on Yahoo Answers.

Organ donation Throw out some stats on organ donation that are startling, tackle a few misconceptions, and urge the audience to make a decision one way or another and inform their families. At the end, hand out organ donation forms.

I did one last year on the reasons pregnant mothers should not drink. I went for eight min., and got an A on my speech. I also did a power point with it. It doesn't matter what you do it on as long as it is something that you truly believe in. Once you think of that subject you'll wish you had allot more time than eight min.

Defend your stance (or develop a stance) on use of stem cells to reduce human suffering and disease.

persuade people not to smoke.....you can get alot of info on that(health risks etc...) also not drinking and driving is a good one...idone one on that last semester and it was 8 mins. also alot of info available on that subject! good luck!

You could talk about exceptance of all humans . You could talk about the fact that there are more unmarried couples living in a household than there are married couples , why the delcline?

When I had to write a persuasive speech a LONG time ago, I wrote about the commercialization of Christmas . . . but if you don't believe in it and don't think it's important, it won't work. I suggest finding something that you are deeply passionate about and start from there . . . the words will soon flow. I got an A +++ Hope this helps!
