  • Answer:

Breast cancer is rare in school aged girls. The risk under 16 is statistically zero. The risk between 16 and 20 is 1 in 1.3 million. Breast cancer rarely shows any symptoms until advanced and most breast cancers are found in routine mammograms before any symptoms are showing. 80% of those diagnosed are over 50 and the average age is 62. According to one of your other questions you are late for your period. Sounds like PMS pain.

Breast cancer is indicated by a firm lump that does not move or fluctuate. You might also notice a change in your nipple. Mostly, and reassuring, is the fact that breast cancer doesn't usually hurt initially. I think you probably had some inflammation or a cyst which is quite common. The infection would cause the lymph nodes to swell under your arm. I hope you have a mammogram soon to put your mind to rest.

Its unlikely to have more than one cancerous tumour without other symptoms such as blood stained discharge from the nipple. See your doctor. Most lumps are benign, but its better to be on the safe side
