What jobs are typically suited for an english major?

Working Abroad: What are the best part-time jobs to do while at language school?

  • I am going to language-school in Barcelona, Spain but the classes are only on for half a day so I have quite a lot of free time. I would like to use this to do some kind of part time job to support myself. Does anyone know of jobs that are suited to this ? I.E. flexible hours, require English. Or has someone gone out to language school in Barcelona and found a job as well?

  • Answer:

It's been a long-time since I've worked abroad, but when I did, we needed work permits to get legal jobs in a foreign country. You might want to check that out.

Some of my friends here work in customer support in their native language (which seems fine in general for them). Also some tried promoting-jobs (clubs, bars, restaurant). About that i heard different stories: annoying, stressfull but also that you can make good money when you´re good.
