Depending on your background, the salary range for a Technology Consultant and Senior Consultant greatly varies. Let's assume you started in the firm as a BTA and get a 5%-15% raise annually depending on your annual rating. The starting salary for a BTA is $70k. After two years, you will be promoted to Consultant and can expect to earn from $77k to $92k. After another two years, you will be promoted to Senior Consultant and can expect to earn from $91k to $121k. Starting after your first year as a consultant, you will also recieve an annual bonus depending on your annual rating. Those are the extreme scenarios, but generally the averages seem to be: Consultant 1st year: $83,000 + bonus Consultant 2nd year: $92,000 + bonus Sr. Consultant 1st year: $102,000 + bonus Sr. Consultant 2nd year: $113,000 + bonus However, if you came to Deloitte as an experienced hire, your salary will be higher. Depending on your experiences, your first year salary range can be: Consultant 1st year: $85,000 to $105,000 + bonus Sr. Consultant 1st year: $95,000 to $125,000 + bonus MBA hires come in as Sr. Consultants and generally earn the highest end of the salary. They are also likely to be promoted quickly to manager. Moral of the story - jump around the consulting firms to bump up that base salary.

Thanks for the A2A. Here's some data from http://Emolument.com, a website for crowdsourced salary data. It shows salaries for Deloitte consultants in the US. Emolument standardise their levels of seniority to make it easier to compare between firms. In consulting, the standardised career progression is consultant - senior consultant - manager - senior manager. Here's that progression for Deloitte: This is data for the whole of the US, so it may vary from state to state, not least due to huge differences in cost of living. The page for Deloitte on Emolument http://www.emolument.com/salary-report/deloitte/7894 You can't use the filters to filter down by country/seniority/degree etc. unless you're logged in though.
