What job is the best for me?

What features do you miss in regular job sites? When searching for a job, what is most important for you ? How can a job board best serve you if you're an employer posting jobs?

  • In view of all the job boards out there, I believe there is much more to do given the current technological improvements. Job sites has been the same for years and years - there is no real innovation going on - even when the unemployment is so high. I am looking forward to getting community's input from both a job seeker and a job provider's point of view. You can share any idea you have, or a pain that you go through, or any feature you miss that you see on non job-boards - anything and everything. Would love to know what everybody thinks about this.

Employers should be asked to include the following information in advertisements: Code for the vacancy from the country's standard occupational classification system. Code from a standard classification for the kind of business or industry in which the incumbent would be employed. Zip or other postal code for the area in which the incumbent would be working. Benefits: Wouldn't employers rather know that applicants have a clear idea of what job it is for which they are applying? Prospective employees can find suitable jobs more easily. Job sites should all have something equivalent to RSSs feeds so that job seekers can process leads efficiently.
