Does anyone know of a year abroad program?

My friend's 13 year old daughter is taking classes at Stanford as part of her home schooling curriculum.   Does anyone know what program this is and how to go about enrolling a child?

    She's probably enrolled at Stanford Online High School. It's a comprehensive, diploma-granting high school, not just a few one-off classes. Like most independent schools, SOHS requires admissions testing and is paid for by tuition (some financial aid is available). What you get is a much more scaffolded, well-rounded, and developmentally appropriate experience than just enrolling in MOOCs available to the general public – oh, and it's accredited, which obviously helps a lot with college admission! http://ohs.stanford.edu/
