But How do you convince them to join and pay for it when they don't know who is going to be on the show.

  first of all the host of the show should be a famous celebrity or a person who is famous and well known for that group of people.. So that atleast they will gather to meet that person. then we can make arrangement some event for them n the winner will get an attractive award which may attract them. try to approach the family members and make them aware of event nd the award and family members should must be involved in the event or game.
