Relocating to Philly for College?

20 year old college student moving from the West coast to the East coast to start a new life after college graduation. Any tips for relocating?

  Definitely spend some time researching different areas of the city you plan to move to. You'll want to be in an area with a lot of people in a similar situation as you. Make sure you check out cost of living details, night life, proximity to things you are interested in, etc. You may find a great apartment but be in an area you hate in which case it would be a wash. Before you move, go through your belongings and de-clutter! Don't waste time and money packing and bringing with you things that you no longer like or need. Moving can be expensive. Remember to change all billing addresses and get your mail forwarded to your new address. Consider any magazine subscriptions, bills, etc. If you don't already have friends in your new location, consider signing up for an adult sport league or a local gym to help meet new people.
