What are some good strategies for getting a job?

What are the best strategies for getting on your feet when you finish graduate school but don't have a steady job immediately?

  • I'm living in Seattle and I'll be finishing my masters degree in Education Policy next year. Since I've been living on loans while in school, I'm really concerned about the transition back to the workforce--especially with the first few months of rent and finding a place and all those hassles. Anybody have some good survival strategies besides couch surfing?

Hey there.  I might have a solution for you (if you are still looking). My name is Valery and I'm currently working on a project designed to help young unemployed people get their life together. I just got off the hook from paying off the student loan and am saving up for a down-payment for a house in Philly. The project I'm working on helps get a job, teach all the loopholes about it, show hacks to improve your credit situation and so on. It's perfect for recent grads: traveling and working abroad, learning how to live by yourself and lots of other perks. I just started working on it and am interested if a service like that might be interesting for you. Anyway, you can check it out here anytime you want http://futureyou.instapage.com/ Thank you very much for you time and wish you the best in the future :)

Secure a job in your field before you graduate.  Otherwise, rely on loans until you get one.
