One of the most famous frequented locations by the Indian filmmakers in the 90′s, http://www.yatra.com/international-tourism/switzerland can safely be called the capital of the Alps. Whenever the Indian summers get unbearable for you, we will come to your rescue with our range of tour packages for the country.Your adventure starts the moment your trip on the famous 3-stage Titlis Gondola does. Its last stage is a revolving cable car, giving panoramic views of coniferous forests, grasslands, rivers, cliffs and glaciers! The adventure will not subside here, but elevate to new levels, when you stand and tread on the Titlis Cliff Walk, about 500 metres above the surrounding landscape.Ride the Ice Flyer, accompanied by views of the glacier below, to the glacier park to indulge in snowtubing. If here in winters, then head on it all the way to the cliffs, from where ski trails emerge. Another of Titlis’s perks is the around 150-metre long glacial cave, which is naturally illuminated with a sharp blue hue. You can contrast all this thrill with a leisurely visit to Zermatt.Either relax in this car-free town or take part in rock climbing, heli-skiing or paragliding. During your journey through the country, the road or railway will take you past many fairytale villages and small towns like Zweisimmen, Montreux, St.Moritz, Lugano, Wengen, Grindelwald, Bellinzona, Brienz, Flüelen and Visp. On the way, click photos of Geneva Lake, Lake Thun, Lake Brienz and Lake Lugano, and peaks like Rigi, Pilatus, Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Mont Blanc. You also go past the Eiger and Aletsch Glaciers, across Oberalp Pass, Brünig Pass and Col du Pillon Pass, and via Kander Viaduct and Lötschberg Base Tunnel.

Just go there & trust me you will be spoilt for choice. Simply, it's a fantastic natural environment to be in where even doing "nothing" is extremely enriching. So much so that it may bring out the hidden poet in a person! Objectively though it would be the several mountains viz Mt. Titlis, Jungfrauoch, Glacier 3000, cheese factory, chocolate factory in Broch village in addition to those already suggested. I personally love Lugano & Locarno for easy sightseeing and ambling stress free

My first trip through Switzerland started in Paris and took me (via car) from La Chaux-de-Fonds to Interlaken (highly recommended), with an overnight stay at https://goo.gl/maps/J7iNQ5ftFrR2 where we woke up and hiked to the base of a glacier in the high Alps. We then headed south to the lakes district of Locarno and Lugano (need to go back to explore that region some more - the lakes are beautiful!) and on to Venice.Heading back to Paris from Rome, I took a train and stayed 3 nights in Lucerne - that was my favorite place in Switzerland, and it was before the historic Chapel bridge burned and was rebuilt. Highlights of the trip were a boat tour across Lake Lucerne with a hike to https://goo.gl/maps/jW9w9sT2Np42 and https://goo.gl/maps/AnVEsHpjyp22. I also stayed in Bern and recall swimming in the icy cold Wigger River.

I recommend the below destination to be visited but it cannot be visited in 2-3 days though 1) Luzerne 2) Interlaken 3) Zermatt 4) Montreux All these destinations can be easily visited by Train which are very convenient as swiss rail offer incredible connectivity, Its always advisable to travel with swiss rather then booking point to point ticket as they come out to be very costly and time consuming. With swiss pass you can travel on any train, bus, tram and ferry thus it offers more modes of transportation at the same price. You can get it booked from your travel partner as per the no of days you are staying. You can either stay in one location and cover all these places but its advisable to keep a stop at two location i.e at luzerne and interlaken or zurich and interlaken which will make more convenient to travel around these places You should not miss Jungraujoch and Mt titlis excursion during the visit and from Zurich you can visit the Rhine falls which offers magnificent view of the falls . Traveling within Swiss is very easy via train so please keep the time schedule handy with you so that you can plan your trip while roaming. You can click pictures of the train timings at the station where you are traveling or you can get the same from the information desk at the station I must say that 2-3 days are way too low for this beautiful Country

You need to be more specific. What time of year? How long? Single, family, mature couple? Interests: nature, sightseeing, sport, culture? I'd say: walk through the old town of Bern, take a long boat trip on one of the big lakes, go up a mountain by cable car and hike around for a few hours at high altitude.

Well most of it depends on your stay and the things that interest you. If you are heading to Switzerland, I would assume you would be more interested in the scenic natural beauty that the country offers in abundance. If I am right at the assumption, Snowy Alps would be first on your list of destinations. There are many option to explore Alps but I would recommend Mount Titlis and Jungfrau. Other than this I would say, you should try and take a trip on one of the multiple tourist train options which take you through best of panoramic views across the country. If you get time, do visit some of the countryside towns which are yet preserved from the touristy rush and perils that come with it and present to you the raw beauty at its best. In case you are interested in some more details about a trip to Alps or a couple of country side towns of Interlaken and Hergiswil, please do visit my blog post at - http://www.expressions-kt.in/2014/02/snow-scenery-and-rides-swiss-alps-mount.html
