How can I make a car that runs off of toothpaste?
-
if possible. Economic viability aside, how would one go about building a toothpaste engine? What kinds of toothpaste/gel would work best, and what sort of mileage would you expect to get (in miles per dollar)?

Answer:
I personally don't think it is possible to run a car on toothpaste. Looking at the list here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toothpaste#Ingredients contains so much water that nothing will burn. None of the components look too flammable either. And I think toothpaste is chemically stable enough to be unusable as a chemical fuel. That aside, I'd love to see a car run on toothpaste. Imagine how minty fresh our traffic jams will be :D
