Questions like this really astound me. All that is necessary is to look at a map. Of course, there are those who look at maps of Alaska and think that it is an island just north of Hawaii. I digress. This is supposed to be an answer. Yes, you can see Russia from places in Alaska.

Having never lived in Alaska, I cannot answer your question from personal experience;  however, according to reports, if you live on Little Diamede Island, Alaska, you can see Big Diamede Island, Russia. Now, I live in SSSSE Arizona-  and I can definitely see Mexico from my house.  One of my sons asked me about it when I told him we were two miles from the border and I could see Mexico and "The Fence" out the back door.  He asked me what Mexico looked like.  I told him, "David, it looks just like my backyard."

Yes,  Alaskan Little Diomede Island is three miles from Russian Big Diomede Island.  Not only can you see it on a clear day, but if it wasn't an international boundary in the winter you could snow machine there in five minutes across the frozen water.  On exceptionally clear days you can sometimes see mainland Russia from planes flying between southwestern Alaskan communities, but the Diomede Islands are the only places you can see Russian soil from land.
