Interested in learning diving?

What Probability and Statistics books or resources should I consult before diving into Machine Learning, NLP, Data Mining etc? I am a complete beginner.

• The last time I studied Probability and Statistics was in high school and I have forgotten all of it. I need a good probability and statistics book that I can read to understand the aforementioned subjects. Moreover, I am an Masters student. Also, the resource can be a book, video , anything.
