How do I change my life, the way i live, the way I think, the way I see the things, the way i react, the way I ask.?

  • I have a fucking life ,I don't know what i want to do. I am fickle-minded . What ever I do I lose interest early I have no goals , nor any aims I am a poor guy born in a middle class family I am even not that intelligent I suck at maths , English (communication skills , writing skils ) I cannot even hope to get a good package from my campus Right now I'm in electrical engineering , a student with pretty average grades and no idea whether engineering is his cup of tea or not I have no  good friends I lack self confidence, in my fantasy I would have written many status on Facebook, but in actual life I'm afraid to write anything because I don't know how people would react I have a negative image and this keeps on spreading and some of my classmates don't became friends with me. For e.g. , my other classmates tend to spread news about me and defame me in almost every aspect. In my 3 semesters of college life , I hardly remembered a time I have talked to girls, I don't know how to approach them I feel like as if I am a pessimist I have read many self help books viz the monk who sold his ferrari, you can win , the alchemist , search inside yourself and manymore and it showed me a world full of possibilities but then you know , habit . I have failed many times . It's my winter break period and I have no internship , no contacts  and eve I'm not sure if I would like to do something or not. I don't know what I want .

I too had same kind of problem people around me hated me for no reason.and this book has really helped me to come over all the negativity and build my self confidence. To learn what exactly life is and how one should live ,our Indian culture provides us different prospective to analyse this. So I'll try to solve your problem by using all this.. Think about your past ,there must have been a moment where you felt weakest,loneliest.Something about which you still feel the anger and pitty on yourself. Don't you want to overcome that weakness.And for this you have to achieve something worth valuable in http://life.So that people look up at you with respect.Make Aim.Start living for your dream. As you have said that you are flicker minded .For this thing, just try a knot of black thread on your wrist so that you can see it http://properly.It will remind you of your goal you have set,and the reason why you want that goal so much. Since you are electrical student, complete your graduation.And after that keeping you goal in mind decide whether you have to go for tech or non-tech part. Keep a copy of "The warriors of light". Read it whenever you feel like giving up. Start writing small comments on quora,about your views on answers. It will give you courage to make your pont,learning others,improve your English and you will be a person with clear state of mind. After having all these points covered try to talk girls with confidence .They are not aliens. Excessive thinking makes us negative.Dont overthink about what other people think,see.Mistakes happen and this prooves that you are trying and bettering yourself .

There is this one small simple but really really effective thing you should do right now to get a spark within you to transform yourself into a completely new person. Just this one thing and things would definitely change in your life. The way you've mentioned all the negative characteristics of yourself over here on Quora, you've have to do the same with the positive ones but on a personal level. No need to mention it here. Get a pen and a paper, start jotting down all the good things that you feel about yourself. Don't stop till you don't saturate. It'll take a little bit of time and patience of course. But give it a try. You'll gradually start loving yourself more and things would change eventually. Life is all about balance. It's 'Yin Yang' So if you have so many negatives you know about yourself. There are surely these many positive characteristics hidden with you too. You just have to travel within yourself to find them out. Dear,Change the way you see the world. You are pursuing Electrical Engineering , start seeing the positive side. Even today many students don't get access to basic primary education. There are many free courses available on internet E.g. NPTEL etc.. and take your won notes.If you are not good at Mathematics study from the book Higher Engineering Mathematics by Dr. Grewal , Higher Engineering Mathematics by John Bird, Khan Academy is one of  the source. For English start with Wren and Martin, Word Power Made Easy, there are many English free video channels available on youtube.About girls, they are not Aliens, just go and say hi, they are not going to hit you just for saying hi. For them  you are just one of your college mate.Why do you care about other people(about defaming). Even if it still bothers you change it. Only you can change it.Thinking of others , you are wasting your's precious time.About placement, you are in the third semester don't think about placements , study hard and then smart (taking out your own notes and revising from it). Remember one thing "Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is Mystery , Today is Gift so it is called as PRESENT".About confidence, Try to have a healthy and balanced diet, practice yoga and don't care too much, if you want to , do it for your subjects(Knowledge).The above point sounds somewhat irrelevant, but after understanding etymology you will get to know what I mean. The way you handle any situation, your style of approach is purely based on your belief system and principles which your subconcious mind has adopted over these years... But the good thing is this can be completely altered. I want u to understand how your mind works to take control nd change it. Our mind is like a computer Your belief system nd principles of life are like OS.. Firstly I can relate to you because i am also doing b.tech(like everyone else today), and most of the time my life is also like a shit. I loose interest easily & I am also from lower middle class family and I also get aimless time to time.As i have read above answer i just wanna tell u that I even read THE SECRET and watched its movie but still I feel same, so that tells that books only guide you everything else depends on your own decision of using its teaching.lets solve you query one by one.1  so what ..!!!everyone like that at some point(its ok..!!)2. find ways in which you make your work more creative.3. you surely have but you are ignoring it for so long that you forgot it..!!(so go and search)4. born poor is not under your control but dying poor is your fault so focus on what you could do.5. nobody says that he or she is intelligent they only work, people put these tag. so work and let other decide it.6. We all suck in these subject its just some of us study and fix our misunderstanding.7. You are in 2ND year explore your seniors record may be you will be surprised  that students with minimum knowledge also get placed. you have whole 2 yrs to study  and learn so don't fall in any decision.8. may be it is may be it is not let our future self decide it and  all we do is work and enjoy in present.9. may be not today but once you be your own friend they will come to you , just think how could they want to  know about a guy and become friends with him when he knows nothing at all about himself.10.try writing things that comes from your heart instead of thinking whether ppl will like or not likes(and you can delete things too)11. kuch to log kahenge logo ka kaam hai kehna..so what ??? just tell me one name who was not being accused of !!what others think..!! make yourself that others think what you think about them.13. be happy,don't you think being pessimist is so boring and unhappy stuff_____ and yeah strive for having more and more experience and start from...eg. u haven't talked to any girl.. so try to talk to any girl you want to talk to start from the one who are extrovert the least would happen is she won't talk to you but u always have other choice, like going to other girl.to get a girl interested in your conversation tell her some facts from internet( but not weird )she will be listening to you and try not to be over smart just be you.everything will be fine one day all you need to do is to start from zero as it is said if you never try you never know..!!!

The best thing about your question is that you are aware of what is going on instead of living without awareness. This is the first step towards change, so let me give you my two cents on your situation.   You have read some self help books but there are tons of others that can help you more. I was in somewhat similar situation around 18 years back and books helped me change my life. I am a big proponent of books because I believe that they can really help one change their life. I have since read more than 6-700 books if not more - all non fiction. Coming to your situation, analyzing the root cause of why you are the way you are is not going to help you. Nature and nurture both play a significant role in shaping ones personality. And sometimes dwelling on the causes might only make you more bitter and negative. May be when you are more strong then you can try that. Since you mentioned that you do not have any goal or aim in life - which by the way is the case with many people- try this instead. Use your pain and anguish to drive your behavior. You certainly have some traits or areas of life that are causing you lot of pain. Changing them should be your immediate goal. As your life improves, your goals will evolve naturally so don't worry about that.  As to how to go about changing your behavior and thinking I would recommend some NLP Books to you.  It's a field of psychology that deals with how we use our thinking to shape our world. It's a very diluted and simplistic definition that I have mentioned here. Although not purely NLP, Tony Robbins "unlimited power" is a fantastic book, as is his "Awaken the giant within". Dr. Richard Bandler (cofounder of NLP) has a very good introductory  book on NLP called "The ultimate introduction to NLP". Although I mention NLP as a starting point I would suggest that you start with this and see if you resonate with the concept else move on to other books. Cognitive behavior therapy is also quite an accessible practice and very useful and so are many other practices. My point is that there is a wealth of information available about changing our lives. Many are available completely free and can change your life. As I write this I remember this little book called "As a man thinketh" by James Allen, written over a hundred years ago along with "The science of getting rich" by Wallace D. Wattles that had a huge impact on me much before "The Secret" made the concept popular to masses. Since both are freely available I urge you to please read them. They CAN change your life. I can go on and on dear friend but know this, you can change yourself and your life even if you feel otherwise from the bottom of your heart.  When we are in pain and the darkness of our thought surrounds us we just don't believe that there is hope. But let me tell you from my experience that there is more than hope. There is whole new life awaiting you at the other end of your personality. One final tip - Use your pain to motivate yourself. What would be the ultimate cost of you not changing? This is what forced me out of my comfort zone (yes misery too can become comfortable rather than facing our fears and attempting the change). Dear ....let me tell you something ,you are having inferiority complex .That is the root cause for all these thoughts . 1.you are at very young age of your life ...what is making you think that u have not achieved /you won't achive anything ??? 2.you are doing your btech ..and that too in electrical department ...don't you think that itself is a great thing ?? 3.you have framed  this long question  in English and you say your communication skills are bad . 4.Try to understand the fact that you are at early stages of life ..never ever dare to think something bad about you and never degrade yourself .becoz that is going to impact the rest of your life . 5.you have completed only 3 semesters in btech ,you have a lot of scope to improve your CGPA ..and remember it is not always toppers who  get good placements !!! 6.And not always books that help you come out if your situation ,try doing something new like meditation ,watch TED talk shows etc and get motivated . 7.spend more and more time with your family ,stop thinking about people who don't care for  you . 8.Try doing something interesting and become busy. 9.Always remember each one of us are unique . You are a wonderful creation of God . You never know what your future holds for you .

No I didn't like when that girl said you have infiriorty complex .. I oppose strongly.  Rather I think its becoz of your genes from parents .. Think whether your father or mother behaves in a similar way or not .. Your words have power , importance.. I also oppose meditation but with a clause meditation needs severe and professional mental energy and for you it's not going to help you are just a student spirituality won't help.. I know how it feels to be neglected . You don't have any company and you beg for company ?
