Which university in Germany should I apply for M.Sc (Computer Science?

What is it like to study for a MSc in computer science at the Open University of Israel?

  • I'm currently studying "management and computer science" at the open university of Israel, and I want to know what the differences are and how it's like to study for advanced degree in Computer Science at the open university.

  • Answer:

I dropped on the second semester, you need to be persistent and you need to practice allot at home. In addition I would advise finding someone from the classes you take as a study buddy cause you won't always fully understand and 2 have more chances than one. So to summarize: 1. You need to make time for it 2. Practice at home and do homework 3. Study buddy 4. Persistence Myself I didn't have either if the 4, Eventually it's a matter of priority, if it's important do what ever you can to prioritarize it and you will succeed, it's no different than any other university when it comes to the material or the professors or the support, you can still call and ask questions or email the professors or class mates. So it's not about difficulty as it is about attitude and persistence. The only different is no one is sitting with a schedule over your head and forcing you to take 10 classes in a single semester.

I am studying for BSc and to talk about persistence - i've been doing it for a while now. I finished 22 courses out of 29, so not too long to go, but still going slow. If you finish or dropout, I guess depends on how determined you are. The younger you start, the more chances you finish before you're 50 ;) The best part about is: You get to meet other people, who are in your position. Who know that you must work for a living (what other universities and colleges don't allow, for lack of time, because you have to take a gazilion courses at once) You get to learn interesting stuff. I saw some curriculums from other universities, they don't get to what we get in 1 course. The university itself is very supportive. Though I don't have such experience with other universities.
