As I'm currently a narrow guage stem begin worker, the other answer 28th photo was right...ish....we actually do by hand about eighty percent of the time...machines break down, don't work properally, or are just a pain in the ass...we dig out old ones put in new ones or lay by hand, hand spiking ...it's a workout
