How to add new row dynamically in SSRS?

Creating a add row and delete row macro

  • I am a general contractor and I usefor estimating. I want to clean up my bid sheets. I have created a spreadsheet and would like to have the ability to add and delete a row with the click of a macro right beside the category. I have a bout 5 different rows for separate categories and I put an add row and delete row for each category. Each row that I add must contain certain formulas that are standard for every line item. The problem I am having is that because form controls are not linked to cells, whenever I click the first form to add a row it pushes all the cells down but my macros all stay stationary and they dont follow the category down the spreadsheet. Ho can I keep the macros to stay in a certain cell and follow down the page when a new row is created?

  • Answer:

Nelson if you write click on the control and choose format control from the popup menu, then in the properties tab you can choose move and size with cells. When I do this an then insert a row, the buttons move with the cells (both activeX commandbuttons andbuttons (on forms toolbar in xl2003 and earlier). However, this is the default setting forbuttons - so I am not sure why you are having problems unless you changed them. If you still have problems, you could always run a macro to repostion the buttons over their respective cells (or include that code it in the code that you run to insert the rows ).
