Are there any child development programs?

Is child development worth majoring in?

• Because I feel like you don't need 4 years to learn about it? My top interests require experience and auditions to programs. I am a beginner so it would not be realistic for me to major in my top interests right now for I wouldn't be able to provide the skills and talent. Child development comes after those top interests. It is a skill I believe I have and should develop and not neglect, as well as my top interests (however, again, not realistically possible at the moment). Working at a day care seems ideal...but doesn't seem to be high paying enough for me to get by...What do I do?

  I spent a lot of years doing work that was difficult for me, ill-suited in so many ways because it came with security and a modest income. I do not judge you in any way, but I can say that following my deepest interests and trusting my natural abilities may well have fundamentally changed my current situation. I do not regret my choice as I have learned so much from my difficult journey, but if my suggestion lands with you at the right time, go with the scary route and take up meditation for nerves...
