I want to prepare for civil services and support my family. I'm a B.Tech (computer science) graduate. I can't work in IT industry, as if I'm going to work there, I won't be left with time for studying. What all jobs I can do so that I can earn money as well as prepare for IAS?

I think u should do job and simultaneously study by joining a study circle.Doing job might help alot in supporting ur family.I agree that u wont hav much time to study bt try to manage time for few days coz one of my cousins is also a Btech graduate  working in IT and he aimed for civils and u knw wat he cracked it. I think its all in the determination that u have towards civils.   Doing part time jobs and studying for civils wouldnt give much satisfaction i guess.Some where at the corner of ur heart u will feel that being a BTech grad i m earning only a little amount.If this is ur first attempt to civils try it by balancing both ur job n studies. Choose public administration as one of ur subjects as it comparitively an easy one to deal with.Hope my answer helped u. IT is best for preparing for civil services because u get 2 days in the weekend to take classes and prepare.. no other field of jobs offers that comfort...
