How to prepare for civil services exam?

What is the cheapest graduation program I should pursue, as I have to prepare for the Civil Services Exam?

  • I have seen that most of degrees provided in India are useless(Unless you get it from top 5% of the colleges, of the respective programs). Internet is a much easy source of information, now-a-days. Which is the cheapest Graduation Program according to you, which qualifies me to fill an UPSC CSE application form ?

  • Answer:

First of all, Try to find your interests, I mean if you are one hundred percent sure of preparing for civil services..then try to find which subjects interests you(like psychology, sociology, maths etc(not exhaustive)) and go for that subject in Delhi University. As far as cheapness of the course is concerned , Delhi University tops the list if you are living in Delhi plus you will be close to the hub of civil services preparation. This is a win win situation if you are really serious about the preparation. P.S. Your graduation course and percentage is going to matter a lot in your career just in case you fail in clearing UPSC exam so really think a lot about it before rushing in to anything and on a personal note, your graduation course should be dependent on your interest not how much it costs.
