Where can you find financial information on small Asian companies?

• I'm doing some research on Asian SME's - China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand and the Philippines. I'm interested in basic data such as sales, profitability and number of employees but I can only find data on public companies. So far I've tried Amadeus and Thompson One Banker. Ideally looking to get the information via an Athens or Institutional logo as its an academic project.

  Not sure where you are from but a U.S. company, for example, could work with an agent who has experience in those countries or utilize a service like the U.S. Commercial Service, whom offers a "Gold Key" service that learns about the company, obtains financial information, and verifies other key aspects of the business.
