How would one explain the number of guest stars on Seinfeld that have gone on to become celebrities in their own right some even on the same cast with each other?

There are a number of factors at play here: Some of the people on the list are comedians, Jerry and Larry David made a point to put comedians they knew and liked on as guests. NBC had people like Lauren Graham and Debra Messing on holding deals, so they ended up as guest stars on a lot of shows until they got their own shows. Actors like Bryan Cranston and Patrick Warburton ended up being popular, so it was easy to keep using them in their respective roles. Off the subject: Now that I think about it, the only guest character I can think of where 2 actors were used is Lloyd Braun.
