How can I design a workout program for myself?

Is it worth it to transfer to California College of the Art's Interaction Design program if it's going to hold me back a year from graduating from another art school in Michigan? Or should I graduate in 4 years then move out to California after work experience?

  • I'm in my 2nd year at Kendall College of Art and Design for Digital Media with a focus in Interactive Design. If I transfer to CCA my credits won't transfer and will make me graduate in 5 years.. but CCA has a really great Interaction Design program.. so I'm stuck. Are there anyone in the Interaction Design program there now and have any feedback on the program?

  • Answer:

I thought about leaving the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (great art college) in my 3rd year to pursue CCA's new interaction design major. I had one call with an admissions counselor and was instantly turned off. The level of pretentiousness was outstanding. I also talked to a friend that left MIAD to attend CCA and she seemed jaded about her experience. She later left California all together. CCA's price tag is also high. After I graduated from MIAD I came straight to San Francisco and got a great job in Silicon Valley. I have also been doing design consulting for various start-ups in the Bay Area. https://medium.com/life-learning/32eda9e4161a.
