How do i zoom in and scroll about with a mac?

In Mac OS X I can press command-up to scroll to the top of any page, why is there no such option in Windows 8?

• Facebook is so retarded.  Twitter and Google+ have figured it out a year or two ago.  Place an easy to access button that's always at the top for making new posts.  Even WordPress has this feature.  But Facebook?  Heck no!  So I find that I am constantly in the middle of the newsfeed, and then I have to scroll all the way to the top, losing my place in the process, just to make a post.  Then I have to scroll back down and waste time finding where I left off.  On a Mac, to scroll to the top (or bottom), I simply hold command and up or down arrow.  I've tried all sorts of up/down arrow combinations on Windows 8, and it doesn't work!  How can I get this basic simplicity to work?

  Which keyboard do you have? You can do the same in windows using 'Home' key. In my keyboard, I have 'Home', 'End', 'Page Up' and 'Page Down' keys. I believe that any standard US keyboard has these keys. By using 'Home' key, you can navigate to the top of any page. By using 'End' key, you can navigate to the bottom. By using 'Page Up' and 'Page Down', you can scroll up and down very quickly page by page(a page is a screen full of content). If you don't have these keys, you might have them as 2nd option keys on your number pad, which can be activated using 'Num Lock' option. If you still have a problem, you can set your mouse options to scroll very quickly. Go to Settings(put your mouse on close(X) button on any window and choose settings) > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers >  Mouse  Go to 'wheel' tab and change the number of lines in vertical scrolling to big number like 20, or you can opt to change one screen at a time.
