How to update my IOS app?

If I remove an app from the iOS App Store, can users who have an update notification still update it?

• Here's the situation: 1) Release an app two months ago. 2) Release an update 10 hours ago 3) Realize 2 hours ago there's a bug, pull app from the App Store For people who have an update notification in the App Store from the time that the App update was available to download: can they still download the update? Clearly no new users will be able to find the app, but can users who had the old version, received a notification to update, didn't update yet, and now (after it's been removed from the store) go to that notification in the store: are they still able to update, or do they receive an error?

  If you have removed the app from sale, no users will not be able to update it. If they do try to update, they will get the standard Apple error message "the item is no longer available in the XXX app store" (xxx being the country their account is for).
