How much should I budget for a trip to London?

I live in London. I am interested in a liveaboard diving trip, do you have any tips regarding the location? I am an advanced open water / Nitrox diver and it would be the first time I do this? My budget is around 2500 dollars including flight. No particular preference with regard to the type of divi

Red Sea is probably the best option for you given location and budget. All inclusive you can find deals from about 2/3 of your budget, and there are plenty of liveaboards to choose from. Not so much cave diving but wreck diving abounds (and given experience levels, expect some penetration dives). SE Asia, in particular Indonesia is possible but given travel budget probably closer to your limit. There are some Komodo liveaboards for about $1.7k, and it's possible (but not easy!) to get a return flight for the difference. Red Sea liveaboards with Blue O Two are phenomenal, and an absolute bargain too. The diving is typically as good as any I've found (so far), there's great variety in terms of the types of dives, and it's really easily and cheaply accessible from the UK. Details here: http://www.blueotwo.com/ There are lots of different options worldwide, depending on how adventurous you want to be, but from the UK, I'd start with a week in the Red Sea and go from there.

Considering we don't know where you live, and hence how much flights could potencially cost; how long you wish this trip to be or what type of diving you are looking for (wreck, coral...), this question is pretty much impossible to answer in any meaningful way i'm afraid.

I would suggest Thailand the Similan Island. There are cheap flight to phuket there you can book a cruise to the similan. Similan is a national park open only 6 month a year, so check the dates. The only downside is that you'll have high standards for your next dives :-)
