How to get initial reputation on Stack Overflow with the new-user restrictions in place?

Is it possible to get released from the question ban on Stack Overflow?

  • Two Years Back: I had 3 reputation points, and I made a small mistake when asking my question. I had no idea why people downvoted that question. I got banned from asking questions. Now: My reputation is now 335 in the same profile, http://stackoverflow.com/users/1137624/cegprakash. I've answered for 35 questions. Got 3 silver and 16 bronze badges. But still I'm banned from asking questions. Why is this so? Edit after another 2 months: I got unbanned now. Pinged them directly via "Contact us" Tips: Answer a lot of questions. Improve your reputation points! Delete your answers that gets downvoted. In case if you have to ask question with your username, you can ask in Stack Exchange respective to your topic which will add value to your Stack Overflow profile as well. Do not depend on auto unban. The system never forgets what you did.

  • Answer:

Quoting from the http://stackoverflow.com/help/question-bans section, users are only banned if they have a significant number of heavily down-voted, zero-voted, or deleted posts. One or two bad posts will not cause you to be blocked from using the site. How can I get out of a question ban? The ban will be lifted automatically by the system when it determines that your positive contributions outweigh those questions which were poorly received. You might want to go through http://meta.stackoverflow.com/a/86998/235416 detailed explanation, as well.
