How would you create a promotional strategy?

Digital Strategy: How can I create an online forum that customers (both existing and prospective) can join but competitors can't?

  • Imagine I'm a personal trainer, and I create a forum on my site for members to ask questions and read answers. My aim is to generate new leads by having people join the forum, ask questions that I answer and then, by demonstrating my knowledge, convert them into clients. My problem is, how do I prevent competitors also joining my forum and stealing my leads by answering the questions and generally promoting themselves?

You could: 1) Make it so comments and replies can only appear on the forum after being reviewed. 2) Delete any comments you dislike. In my opinion, these actions are representative of a silencing control freak, and your consumers could likely think this too.
