How can I find the emails where I set up bitly urls as links on gmail? If I search by the bitly url it doesn't bring anything since it was not on the email but hidden under links of the email after I clicked on "Link" when composed it

Answer:
Set up a bit,ly url first and then add it to your signature and email to whichever kind of email you want to measure. Alternatively (and this is the method I use since I am a sales guy), use http://yesware.com and it'll do that for you automatically and tell you who opened the email! They give a 100 free trackers/months, which is enough for most such experiments. I am a paying user and they're awesome because they track opens as well.
