What are the best places for training and certification in Java(core+Advanced full course) in Chandigarh?

  • Four of us friends(B.tech/4thSem/CSE) want to do the full java course in the coming summer which can be continued in the 5th sem, but we don't seem to have much choices as we don't know much in this field. Our current options include HCL CDC in Mohali, and NIIT in sector 17. Other institutes like AlphaIT are said to provide good training, but we are skeptical if a certificate from there would be of much value. another option is SLR Institute(or whatever it is), which also gives a oracle participation certificate along with their certificate.. We don't know what to do. We know that we can complete the java course with no trouble, but in the end after completing the course, we want what we did to have some value in the industry and not just take another certificate in java. I was planning to just study core java by myself and then take the OCJP after 3-4 months.. but my friends want to do the complete java course, and have told me if I still want to take the OCJP afterwards, I can. We dont even know about the branches in advanced java we can take other than some names like hibernate. So please if anyone can tell us a little about this field, we'd be greatful. Our college isn't like  NIT or IIT, so we know that this training in java would be the most important thing we do in our college years. So, we wanted to make an informed decision.

I myself underwent Java training from SLR, the core Java was really good. The trainer is quite good, I am sorry I am forgetting the name but he is a Sikh and I think he either co-founded SLR or is working there since a very long time. Anyway, make sure you get his class.Regarding Advanced Java, please make sure you schedule your whole program before you join. In my case, I learnt Core Java during my summer break and then I had my college classes so I couldn't attend Advanced Java classes in the morning, they had no classes in the evening and this lead to a major waste of time. I got a trainer later on but I wasn't satisfied.So the suggestion is, please talk to them in advance about the whole schedule for 6 months before joining.

i have gone through 6 month java training in ABC institute chd sec 34, and i would suggest that if really want to go for java field , then don't go for institutes . most of thetraining centers in 34 sec are just institutes .Where you will go for 2 or 3 hours.Go for some Company or self study is the best option ever.
