How can I find work as a writer?

How do I find a script editor who would work with my writer on story and screenplay and can help make the story right for the angloamerican market?

  The short answer is my humble self. I live and work in LA and have done this kind of work for years.   A longer answer is that what you ask is difficult. Be careful. There is no standard rating system to trust for script consultancies or writers. Personally, I don't even trust Yelp when I need to choose a restaurant (although I look at it).This is because, for one very good reason, I also know restaurant owners who "ask" people, friends, relatives, relatives of relatives, or hire people  to write positive reviews. It is the same for my profession as well. There is an entire industry manipulating the internet nowadays to "influence" potential customers and to direct traffic to their client's sites. I am surmising that, since you asked this question, you don't know anyone who regularly hires writers or script consultants, as that would be your best bet. Secondly, you can hire a well known script writer with major release credits on IMDB, but that would tend to be expensive. (I say major releases because IMDB  has also been corrupted with the internet manipulation virus.)  Short of those two options, I would ask for sample writing and talk at length to the writers and consultants on the phone. I wouldn't just go by credits but they should at least have some on http://IMDB.com. Again, this is neccessary because often the people credited in movies are not the people who deserve them. At least in Los Angeles (Hollywood) misattributing credits and inflated resumes are a way of doing business. Complicating the matter even more is ghost writing.  I have ghost written quite a few scripts but, of course, I cannot tell you what films I have worked on as a ghost. You just will have to take my word on that :) So... I would also consider the answer by Anthony Ferreri, but I'd put my emphasis on a verbal conversation and read lots of sample writing . I hope this at least helps.
