Working at Amazon Bangalore is a great way to learn if you are starting your career, there are some really good SDE -3 and Principal Engineer which are more than willing to mentor you. The amount of learning is unmatched and variety of things you can work on. Its lot like a startup , you get to work on DB , Ops , Development. Google Bangalore ( this is a second hand review ) Its mostly a recruiting center for US. As far as I have heard they don't do any real high impact projects like Ads or Search. Compare this to Amazon Bangalore, there exists a lot of project which are at core of Amazon ( Pricing , Social ). The only thing that is missing in Bangalore is AWS. Yes its cozy at Google, with all free food stuff, but in your twenties you better focus on your learning and experience. I would say politics is bit messy here, not the ideal environment. There is lot of power politics going on. Also to add, food is really pathetic.

Facilities are excellent - great food, pay and freedom; relaxed work culture. Great exposure to Google infrastructure (using, not building) - an experience that any engineer should really go through once in life. People do work on internal backend and frontend services at Bangalore. There is scope to get exposure to a typical 'deployment stack' of Google overall. Migratory trend of a lot of folks acquiring experience and moving to Mt.View is very common here too. Challenges exist on finding meaningful/impactful projects - remember, Google is very large - has a lot of people in Mt.View attending to core projects, a bit more top-down now (at least since Larry), it is not interested much in markets like India, and India is not even like a low-cost center or anything by design. Important projects like social, ads, android, etc... are all run from the core center at Mt.View, and sites like India can do little to no work in it. unlikely that p2 work comes down too. Sites like Amazon in India, at least do relatively lower priority work as I understand, but relevant ones compared to the core site, but at Google Bangalore one has to be prepared to be part of a huge lot of scrapped projects that somehow have to come to exist. Overall, without much worry about impact and work, etc... it is a nice place to sit back and learn some technologies for sometime, and earn too, while doing so... probably a duller picture than expected, but just my opinion...
