What is Google advertising?

If you had to choose between the following advertising platforms, which one would you choose for a startup? Google adwords/Retargeter/Buy Sell ads with a combination of a platform to manage your FB campaigns such as Adespresso? What's your best combination?

  • You may totally change the combination, I am just trying to figure out the most cost-effective and efficient way to run a campaign for a startup. A quick update! Nobody told me about this website: http://www.adsnetworkreview.com , which is the only source on the internetwhich helped figure out a lot of what was going on in my head. I am adding it here, in case anybody else has the same research issue like me :)

Currently, I'm using the following solutions 1. Facebook (managed by AdEspresso) 2. Stumbleupon 3. Google AdWords 4. AdRoll (Retargeting) FacebookAdEspresso is awesome for Facebook ads.  It lets me upload different titles, descriptions and photos, then automatically creates all the different permutations of those ads in Facebook.  (Also does demographics and marital status permutations). I.e. for my last campaign, it created over 700 different ads. One note, it doesn't seem to leverage the news feed ads, which in my (limited) experience, tend to perform the best (I'm currently focused on driving signups on our website).  (This part is really amazing, use AdEspresso to find the best performing RHS ads, then duplicate them into a new campaign where you can easily create news feed ads.  These perform orders of magnitude better). Looking for something similar to leverage Google Adwords now. StumbleuponStumbleupon is actually a great way to drive traffic to your signup pages and for the cost, actually performs decently.  I think we were getting on the order of 20% newsletter signup rate from Stumbleupon to UpOut.  I'll also say, it's super easy to manage since you really just point it to a page and do some minimal targeting (as opposed to having to create a ton of ads). AdWordsWe've been using AdWords off and on for quite some time.  I would definitely recommend trying it in the beginning but it really requires a bit more work as you have to do a better job of combining these 3 factors: Keywords to Target Ads to go with these keywords Landing pages to these ad groups So match the 3 factors above pretty well, then you will get much better results, but you can see how it might be a lot more work than Facebook or Stumbleupon (which I might point to a single landing page or may a Google Content Experiment). AdRollBeen playing around with this one the last 2 weeks.  Obviously the concept makes sense, target people with ads who have already been to my site.  With a very limited budget, I haven't seen the best ROI in terms of cost per conversion compared to the other sources.

Totally depends on your startup, but I'd say Adwords hands down. However,  if it's something people don't really search for, then Facebook would be first choice - due to the ability to target specific demographics, interests etc.

If you want to earn from blog via PPC ads network, the offcourse AdSense is the best choice if you are daily getting about 1k+ traffic atleast, otherwise CPC ads are useless. Best suggestion for you is to use BuySellAds if your blog is really an authority blog. These are the basic requirements your blog should fulfil: As Said Here: http://techleaks.us/buysellads-requirements-approval-guide/ Your Blog should have a top clean and understanding design and layout. Your blog should not have a great number of other ads. Mostly this leads towards rejection of your application. Try to use not more than 1-2 ad networks with Buy Sell Ads. Your blog content should never be adult. Your blog should be updated regularly, otherwise approval for BuySellAds will not take place. You blog should be from niches that BSA supports only. Otherwise your application will be rejected. Mostly Technology and Design blogs are easily accepted. So i will suggest you to go with BuySellAds if your blog is really a top niche blog.
