What are mutual friends on Facebook?

A girl I know added me on Facebook. We never talk. She seems to be shy and me too. We belong to some group of around 20 people, and I'm the only one she add (no mutual friends on Facebook). I sent her a message after I approved her request, but she didn't reply. what is the meaning of this and what

  • Why she didn't reply my message? Why am I the only one she add? What might be the purpose of she adding me?

  • Answer:

That's a difficult thing to read into. Facebook invites are hardly a strong indicator of romantic interest, especially without any further interaction. However, noting she invited you and only you means at some point she saw you on Facebook or thought enough to friend request you on Facebook. That shows that she at the very very least acknowledges you exist. So, the proper action to take in this situation is as follows: Obtain paper and pen Write a note on said paper with said pen stating: Do you want to be my girlfriend? [ ] Yes [ ] No Crumple up said paper Discard crumpled paper Realize you're an adult Step outside your comfort zone Get up from desk Approach girl Say "Hi, want to have lunch together today?" See where things go from there You're much better off actually trying to interact with her face to face, than looking for insight on Quora to dig deeply into the meaning of an action on Facebook. Rather than ponder for days or pine for weeks, take action and see where it goes. Friendship? Love? A terrible quasi-lunch date? All possible, but you'll get there quicker if you try.

I agree with Merk.  Ask the girl to lunch.  Don't expect anything out of it other than a chance for the two of you to get that first one-on-one interaction out of the way.  Relax, order something not too messy to eat, and see what happens.  Good luck!

It's a facebook invite. Don't look into it too much.
