How to send a document to an email address?

Looking for some software/web service, that when you send a PDF by email - it will imprint/watermark in the document header the recipients email address?

  • My company produces highly confidential documents and often these have been left around for others to find. So we can identify who it is that is being careless with their documents, we'd love to find some software that would allow us to attach the document in PDF whilst imprinting the recipient's name or email address on it, so each copy is unique?

    Depending on the number of copies you have to create, you can do it even with Acrobat (Pro), and apply a watermark or a dynamic stamp. For bigger numbers of document, you might look at command line tools, such as StampPDF by Appligent (http://www.appligent.com). A completely different approach would require exchange of certificates, and you would encrypt the documents against the certificate of the receipient. Then it would be only the receipient who can open the document.
