Is it the end of Google and any company based on ads if the ISPs block the ads as the french Free.fr did?

The 3/01/2013, http://Free.fr the second big ISP in France has updated it's internet box (Freebox Revolution) with an option which blocks the Google's Ads by default. Will it be the end of Google and any .com company based on the ads if all the ISPs does the same?

Answer:
Google's display network or their "google network members' websites" only account for 27% of their revenue, roughly $7B a quarter. It could be a potential dent, but not their downfall. You have to keep the publishers in mind as well, I mean when who's going to want to but a .FR website if they can't make money or run ads along their blog post or articles? The only way you're going to "topple" Google is to stop using Google, good luck with that. In my opinion Google's downfall will be their position in mobile search, if I'm not mistaken GOOG's quarterly earnings reported a 17% dive. Primarily due to CPC bidding being significantly lower on Google's mobile search, lack of advertisers and consumers going elsewhere for their queries on mobile devices.

If anything, this will only make Google (and any other company) to come up with more innovative ways to deliver ads. A few things I'm guessing they can/will come out with: Use your friends to advertise stuff to you. (ISP's can't block what your friends send you) Make display advertisements indistinguishable from regular content. (This can be technical, like using the same servers to display regular content and ad content) Offer additional benefits to users who don't have ads blocked. (i.e. better, more targeted search results)
