Madhya Pradesh, India: What are the differences between the CBSE Board and MP Board?

• I know CBSE is much better than MP board but being absent in 12th CBSE boards I'll have to repeat 12th class. All consellors recommend that CBSE will block you from giving the exams in the end due to repeatition, Thus it is better to choose MP board whose 20 percentile cutoff for JEE is low too. So, I'm changing from CBSE Board to MP Board. I do not know ANYTHING about MP Boards, Thus please tell me everything I need to know about MP Boards?

  First of all, I think your decision is correct. As far as your question is concerned, Some points you must know  before you switch to MP board. MP board is a state board having not so good quality of either education or amenities given to the students in schools as compared to CBSE. Yet I think if you are enough  broad minded  to accept changes, you will learn more in just one upcoming year than you did in  the years at your previous schoolं. The course/ syllabus is just alike. You'll have to depend upon your tuitions, until you go to a really good school. Reading the NCERT books thoroughly will make you score fairly good marks in the board exams. And also if you want to prepare for JEE-mains, you won't have to do some extra work(assuming you're from PCM background). You'll get a benefit in jee main percentile also. If you manage to score about 86-87% you'll get a percentile of 98-99 in JEE-mains(Win-Win!). But be prepared for tolerating poor English of the teachers. You may feel like you are the most intelligent stud out there, but beware! Your feelings maybe scattered as the results come out(mp board students are really experts in shocking you). PS- All this is on the basis of the experience of my bestie, who switched to MP board just like you. hope this helped!
