The most important they would expect from you is your problem solving skills irrespective of what programming language you know..! Apart from this, have a updated knowledge about current technologies. For example, say if you are interested in / / or anything , there are lot of websites like http://www.coursera.com , http://www.udemy.com , http://www.cloudera.com  offers so many free online courses of your interest with which you can learn so many things and be confident about your knowledge. Try to solve problem statements in different aspects and exhibit it. Design a plan and work on it..! All the best :)

I am not going to give a full answer here, but one point I have to say is to stop identifying yourself as a java developer.  Instead of focusing on platforms, try to focus on problems and their solutions. Task distribution, Queuing systems, handling big data, processing live analytical streaming data, transaction processing, query and data optimization, Scalable Web APIs, etc. These things prove what you are actually capable of and what you can deliver, java is just a tool which helps you in doing so.   And then, start working and experimenting with other languages, and figuring out how to solve these problems in them. c#.net, php, python, ruby, node.js.

If you are getting a call for an interview would imply that you have crossed a major hurdle (as many find it difficult to get a call).
