If you woke up one day with a superpower, what would your course of action be?

If I had one super power, it would be the ability to channel or put myself in any other persons shoes and by any i mean any, Genghis khan, atilla the hun, julius caesar, lord nobunaga etc  i would use that ability for anything from figuring what questions is my teacher putting in the next test, the next installment of my favorite book series by channeling the author, heck i could even channel bruce lee to beat up some thugs picking on an old lady what i would not do is channel some psychopath like manson, bundy etc those people are monsters

In the past, I would have said that I would have liked to have a fairly standard flying brick set of super abilities and would have used those powers to deal with sex slavers, terrorists, rapists, abusive husbands, and of course garden variety criminals. But today, I think that what would be much more valuable would be powerful telepathy. I would, with the permission of others, help them make changes in their lives. I would help them amplify their intelligence, unlock the abilities they need to succeed, and help them through anger. In other words, I really feel that some of the best abilities that one could actually have would be ones that we can develop in our own right in the real world. In this case, a skillful therapist can make someone trapped by trauma experience hope and happiness. That's a superpower worth having to me.

I must tell you honestly that if I woke up with the power to fly and become invisible, and the weather happened to be pleasant, I would spend most of the day peeking through the windows of fancy Manhattan apartments high above Fifth Avenue and Central Park West.
