I need a sample Android Java code to override the GPS locations.Help?

  • Details: The android based phone has GPS capability. When a location based app launches (google map), it uses GPS location reported from a GPS module. I need (sample code) to discard the GPS data from the GPS module, and override with my own GPS location that I can define. The overridden GPS data should be applied to any location based app(Google maps,Waze,4sq..) on the phone. Test: 1) when the mock location app is not running, the google map (or any map app) shows my physical location. 2) when the mock location app (I supply any latitude/longitude) is running, the google map (or any map app) shows my location as the location defined in the mock location app.

If it’s already been written you could probably locate it doing a google search but if it hasn’t been written yet then you will probably have to write it.I would start by finding out how to write and app that will use GPS to tell you where you are. When you have figured that out, and there is free code out there you can download, then you will have learned enough about the ins and outs of doing this to know if it will be possible.No doubt the best you will be able to do is to turn off your devices GPS and then supply a simulator that replaces those values to any application looking for it.
