How do you make very sticky tape?

Teflon sticky tape? Or - how do I make this floor mat glide?

  • Is there something like a teflon sticky tape - sticky on one side, Teflon on the other - that I can attach to this floor mat so I can move it around easily throughout the day? More details... Hey hivemind, I have a cushioned floor mat that I stand on. I need to move it from place to place during the day. I'm not a big fan of touching (kinda dirty) so I'd like to kick/drag it around. Unfortunately, the base surface is carpet so there is drag, and I'm sure it's wearing down the mat. I thought about gluing some of those furniture movers from Home Depot/Lowes to to the bottom, but those are really thick and make the pad uneven. Is there something like a teflon sticky tape - sticky on one side, Teflon on the other? I've done some searches and haven't quite found anything like this.

I would punch a hole in the mat, thread a piece of string through it and pull it whenever I needed to move it. Or buy a second mat.

the base surface is carpet so there is drag, and I'm sure it's wearing down the mat. It is unlikely that carpet is abrasive enough to significantly wear down the mat. I'd like to kick/drag it around Anything you put on the underside of the mat that makes it easier to move will just make it dangerous. If you step on the mat with one foot it could move before you put your weight fully on it, which will likely make you do an impromptu splits or fall over. Please reconsider this. Just have a glove handy to move the dirty mat with.
