Create an RSS feed from a web page

  • I would like to create an RSS feed from a Peanuts cartoon web page, specifically http://www.gocomics.com/peanuts My RSS reader can't find a feed there. Is there a way to get one anyway or "construct" one?Thanks.

Why not use the one they have? Click on RSS feeds then search for peanuts. http://feeds.feedburner.com/uclick/peanuts

If the RSS reader you use isn't in their list, you should be able to copy the URL and add it manually to your RSS feed - there should be an "add content" option. What RSS reader do you use?

For future reference in this same situation: You could have used a scraping service like http://feed43.com/ to construct an RSS feed from the plain web page. It takes a bit of HTML knowledge to pull off, but I use that service for quite a few sites that don't offer RSS feeds at all.
